During its activity Metalvuoto has been cooperating on research and development with Università degli Studi di Milano.
The Food Packaging Laboratory in the Food Science and Technology Department ( http://users.unimi.it/packlab/default.htm ) and the Microbiological Science Department – DISTAM ( http://www.distam.unimi.it ) are the main seats where analysis and researches take place.
These relevant cooperations enrich Metalvuoto staff’s Know how creating a stream of innovation able to put the company in the forefront of its core business. Thanks to this flexibility, the company can adapt itself to the quick changes of the packaging field.
Present analysis and researches aim to additionally improve film performances, focusing especially on:
Oxaqua lacquered PET resistant to high humidity conditions
Water-based antifog lacquers.
Lacquers performing high water vapor barrier.
European Project
Metalvuoto also takes part in the European Project for “ NAFISPAK” clever packaging development – “Innovative packaging from farm to fork “ (www.nafispack.com).
